Diamond Tools for Form Dressing |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Blade tools contain two elongated diamonds uniformly
exposed in a chisel edge pattern. They are intended
primarily for step and radius dressing, but are
sometimes used for straight dressing of large wheels.
These tools were designed for use
on the Cincinnati Centerless grinder and other machines
which locate the diamond tool on a 15" drag
angle to the grinding wheel. In this way the two
diamonds dress in the same path and share the dressing
burden. These tools can be modified for use on machines
having drag angles other than 15".

Diamond Tools for Semi-Finish Dressing |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Cluster tools contain several diamonds set in a
definite pattern in the tool face. They are recommended
for straight face and side dressing of all large
wheels used for rough and semi-finish grinding.
Tool Nos. 521 to 523 are designed for use with no
drag angle and for side dressing where all the diamonds
share the dressing burden at the same time. Tool
Nos. 531 to 533 are designed to be set up at a 15"
drag angle to the wheel and rotated 120 degrees
when worn. In this way three diamonds share the
dressing burden. Used on centerless, cylindrical
and large surface grinders.

| Impregnated
Diamond Tools for Finish Dressing |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Impregnated tools contains many small, sharp diamonds
of uniform size evenly distributed throughout a
non-glazing metal matrix. These tools are designed
to be used like a large sing;e pointed diamond tool
for straight face or angle dressing on wheels for
finish and semi-finish grinding. Because of the
many sharp points always in contact with the wheel,
this tool, once set up, need not be touched until
completely worn. Specify wheel size when ordering.
Used on centerless, cylindrical, surface, bench
and cutter grinders.

Profile tools contain four elongated diamonds, each
set in the corner of a 3/4 inch square disk. Each
diamond can be adjusted to a variety of different
positions depending upon the application. If used
