Carter Diamond offers a variety
of miscellaneous tools including: Shaped Formed Dressing Tools, Diamond Tipped Gauge Points and Fingers and Diamond Tools for Grinding Wheel Manufacturing.


 Shaped Formed Dressing Tools

These shaped diamond tools contain gem quality diamonds of the proper size to efficiently do your work. The diamonds are selected under a microscope, oriented in the proper grain direction in the tool and are polished to the correct shape. The have sharp edges to resist wear and they are securely mounted for long life. Order by catalog number and include specs listed for your particular tool.

 Diamond Tipped Gauge Points and Fingers

These diamond tipped gauges replace OEM in process gauge fingers and points. We can also extend the life of our carbide gauges by converting them into diamonds. Tools shown below are just a small sampling of the many types of gauges and fingers we can produce. Other gauge points can be made completely to your specifications.


 Diamond Tools for Grinding Wheel Manufacturing

These diamond tools are manufactured for shaping many abrasive materials; as found in grinding wheels, refractories, fiberglass products, carbon products, etc. Any of these standard tools can be redesigned to fit your exact requirements at very little, if any, additional cost. Each tool is manufactured with its own special matrix incorporating the correct diamond size, shape and quality for the intended use. Order tool below by size or send us your specs.


 Solid Diamond Reamers

Economical tools for accurately enlarging grinding wheel arbor holes. Selected solid diamonds are surface set in a tough wear resistant metal bond. Diameters of .125 " are2" long and diameters 3/16" and larger are 3" long. Standard diameter tolerances are +/-.0025"


 Solid Diamond Drills

Made to be used separately or in the center of a core drill. Solid diamond particles are evenly distributed throughout a hard metal matrix. Diameters of .125 " are2" long and diameters 3/16" and larger are 3" long. Standard diameter tolerances are +/-.0025"


 Diamond Core Drills

Made to order from standard specifications for hole drilling and blanking out wheels. Sizes from 3/16" O.D. to to 24" O.D. Standard diameter tolerances are +/-.005". For special cases these core drills can be made adjustable for wear (Patent applied for).


 Heavy Duty Impregnated Diamond Tools

Especially designed heavy duty tools for large stock removal when shaping grinding wheels. Standard shank is 9/16" x 3-1/4". Diamond Impregnated section is3/8" x 1/2" long. Available in any size shank you require.


 Heavy Duty Single Point Diamond Tools

Special tough single point dressers for shaping inside corners, undercuts, etc. when manufacturing grinding wheels. Specify shank size required. Standard shank is 9/16" x 6".


 Impregnated Diamond Tools for Resurfacing Wheel Sides

Proven tools of long life, used in matched sets in rotary surface grinders, for "siding" grinding wheels and resurfacing ball grinding wheels. Shanks fit 1" hole, are 1-5/8" long, have 3/8-16 threaded hole and set screw flat. Diamond section is 7/16" x 7/8". These tools can easily be made to fit your exact requirements.
